Mary’s Health & Fitness Expands with New Training Center in Hummelstown

Local fitness business owner, Mary Driscoll, is set to open a state-of-the-art training center for youth and student-athletes in Hummelstown.

Mary’s Health & Fitness, a locally owned health and fitness business, is making waves in the Midstate with the construction of its second location. Owned and operated by Hershey native Mary Driscoll, who has nearly two decades of experience in personal training, the business has grown steadily since its inception in 2015. With the success of her first brick-and-mortar studio in Hummelstown, Driscoll is now expanding with the launch of Mary’s Training Center, a 40,000-square-foot facility designed to cater specifically to youth and student-athletes.

A Dream Realized

Mary Driscoll’s passion for personal training began shortly after her graduation from Penn State University in 2004. She started her own business, Mary’s Health & Fitness, in 2015, initially offering personal training sessions in Memorial Park near Hershey High School. As her client base grew, Driscoll opened her first studio on West Main Street in Hummelstown. Three years ago, she unveiled Mary’s Fitness Center, a more permanent facility located in Hershey. Now, Driscoll is excited to fulfill a long-held dream with the opening of Mary’s Training Center.

State-of-the-Art Facilities

The new training center, located at 981 Bullfrog Valley Road in Hummelstown, will boast impressive amenities. The facility will include a 28,000-square-foot indoor turf field and a 2,500-square-foot strength and conditioning room. Additionally, Mary’s Training Center will feature a recovery room equipped with a HydroWorx Underwater Treadmill and Normatec recovery pants. On-site office space and nutrition counseling will also be available to clients.

Focus on Youth and Student-Athletes

Unlike her fitness center in Hershey, which primarily caters to adults, Driscoll’s new training center will be specifically designed for youth and student-athletes. In addition to offering scholarships to ensure accessibility for all, Mary’s Training Center will provide academic tutoring services. Driscoll believes that fostering positive fitness habits and emphasizing the importance of education are essential for well-rounded youth.

Personalized Attention and Small Class Sizes

Maintaining strong relationships with clients is a priority for Driscoll. To ensure personalized attention, she keeps class sizes small at both locations, maintaining a ratio of one personal trainer for every six clients. This approach allows for individualized instruction and support, enabling clients to achieve their fitness goals effectively.

Job Creation and Opportunities

The completion of the new training center is expected to create over 50 new jobs in the area. Mary’s Health & Fitness is currently hiring for various positions, including personal trainers, physical therapy staff, tutors, and cleaning staff. Driscoll’s commitment to creating employment opportunities reflects her dedication to the local community.

Conclusion:

Mary’s Health & Fitness is expanding its reach with the opening of Mary’s Training Center in Hummelstown. The state-of-the-art facility, designed for youth and student-athletes, will provide top-notch training and support. With a focus on personalized attention, small class sizes, and a commitment to education, Mary Driscoll aims to instill positive fitness habits and empower the next generation. As the construction nears completion, the anticipation for the grand opening in March 2024 continues to grow.
