Top-performing schools and highest scorers announced by the Professional Regulation Commission
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has released the results of the November 2023 Civil Engineer Licensure Exam (CELE), revealing that 6,180 examinees successfully passed the examination. This accounts for 33.26 percent of the 18,582 individuals who took the test on November 17 and 18. The PRC announced the results just five working days after the examination, showcasing the efficiency of their evaluation process. Alongside the announcement of the passers, the PRC also recognized the top-performing schools and the highest scorers in the exam.
Top-Performing Schools:
According to the PRC, the University of the Philippines (UP) – Diliman emerged as the top-performing school in the November 2023 CELE. Out of the 69 examinees from UP-Diliman, an impressive 98.55 percent passed the board examination. Following closely behind is UP-Los Baños, with a passing rate of 96.55 percent. The Carlos A. Hilado Memorial State College in Talisay and De La Salle University in Manila also achieved notable passing rates of 91.07 percent and 82.69 percent, respectively. These four schools are the only ones to have both at least 50 examinees and an 80 percent or higher passing percentage in the CELE, highlighting their commitment to producing competent civil engineers.
Highest Scorers:
Godfrey Queron Correa of Palawan State University – P. Princesa secured the top spot in the CELE with an impressive rating of 93.60 percent. Angelo Amoc Ramos from the Technological University of the Philippines – Taguig closely followed with a rating of 91.95 percent. Jonas Rhein Pruelo Esguerra from UP-Diliman also achieved a remarkable rating of 91.90 percent. These individuals have demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skills in their field, setting a high standard for future civil engineers.
